These soaps are made with a base of a 150g (bath size) bar of Oliva soap, wrapped in layers of super soft merino wool, decorated and felted by hand. Oliva soap is made from olive oil, water and natural minerals so it is gentle on the skin and is suitable for vegans.
Why felt soap? Well, not only does the wool act as a natural exfoliator but it also creates a really rich and creamy lather. It prevents soggy messes on the side of the bath or sink and allows you to use that last little bit of soap up - no waste! You can even use the left over felt as a wash cloth or cut it open to make a little pouch for storing precious things.
As you will see from the pictures above it is possible to make these soaps in many designs; you can choose from a simple colour scheme, soft shapes (clouds, hearts, flowers etc.) or something more structured like the moon or a monogram initial. It takes no more than 48 hours to make, dry and despatch your soap.
