(6) view basketThis encaustic painting has been painted using coloured wax and encaustic techniques. The painting is entitled “and so the wind blows” look closely and you may see hidden images in the painting. This is part of the character and charm of working with this medium.
This is a one off original painting and will never be replicated. The painting itself measures approx 7×5 ins and is mounted and framed in a silver frame making the total measurement 10×8 ins. This work must be unglazed as over time the wax could adhere to the glass .
Encaustic wax is very durable and will not melt or crack, however certain care should be taken, a sharp object can scrape the wax off. A buff with a soft cloth every now and then will keep your painting in first class condition.
Each painting is created with love and a little sprinkle of fairy dust.
