Felt
There are three types of felt; Acrylic, Wool Blend and Pure Wool. Acrylic (otherwise known as craft felt) is 100% synthetic. Wool blend is made from a mixture of wool and viscose. Pure wool felt is as the name suggests, made from pure wool. My die cuts are made using 40% wool blend felt (EN71 tested) which is soft, strong and comes in a range of fabulous colours! It is approx 1mm thick, dry clean only and can be ironed on a wool setting with gentle steam. It is a gorgeous material and my cuts will add the perfect finishing touches to your very own craft projects! Remember, as I cut to order, everything can be made in colours or colour schemes of your choice, simply let me know when you checkout or alternatively message me afterwards. I always hold a large range of colours in stock so if you want it, I probably have it!
Die Cutting and finishing touches
Templates (dies) are used for all of my cuts. Felt/fabric is placed over the dies and rolled through the die cutting machine. Think of the dies like a cookie cutter. This means that the sizing of the pieces cannot be changed. For all layered cuts, I use a strong fabric glue.
