The shop WovenByYasmin came about at the beginning of the year when me and my fiancé discovered we were going to be having a baby. My fiancé is Burmese and living in Thailand, we both knew we couldn’t afford to stay in Thailand with a baby on his wages so we decided that I should return to the UK and have the baby here and stay untill we could afford to move to Myanmar and live there as a family, so here we are bump and me,weaving our way to Myanamar.
My finance was the person to teach me how to weave and he learnt the skill from his family. I use a wooden, home made loom, and use the traditional skills that my fiancé taught me.
In the shop you will find hand woven blankets, throws, baby blankets, rugs, coasters and much more. I also love doing custom orders so if you see anything you like please contact me for more information.
