If you are new to The Supermums Craft Fair and are thinking of renting a stall or perhaps making a purchase from one of my lovely stall holders, then this page is for you! The following reviews are all from current stall holders (many of whom also like to shop on the site!) and are here to help you make an informed decision about what its like to have a stall at The Supermums Craft Fair….
Sarah From The Supermums Craft Fair…You might find it strange that the first review is from me, after all, it’s my website, I’m going to like it! But for those of you thinking of renting a stall, there is a simple reason for me starting this review section and that is to give some basic tips to make your stall work for you! Firstly, don’t assume that by renting a stall you are going to be inundated with sales. Selling online doesn’t work like that, YOU have to work at it. Think of renting a stall as like having your own mini website! Tell all your friends and family, show off your stall on a regular basis, let people know where they can find you. Don’t list your items and then sit back and wait, instead, get involved in the many places I have set up for you to network (see the links under my picture) The chatty room is the perfect place to get to know other stall holders (it’s like a big group of friends getting together and chatting all day long!) If you link your stall on Twitter then use #supermumscraftfair when you do and I will retweet. Every Thursday is #superstall hour over on Twitter, which is another great way to get your stall seen as lots of stall holders join in the fun each week! Being seen really is vital when selling online, after all, why should someone buy from you, when they could buy from someone they have seen out and about and become friendly with though networking? So renting a stall might not be a guarantee of sales BUT if you work it right, like so many of my stall holders already have, then the sales will come and they will keep coming… and the rewards for all your hard work are 100% yours! No listing fees and no commission… and if you’re still undecided have a read through some of the current stall holders reviews right underneath this one!
Vicci From Simply Lovely… I LOVE ‘The Supermums Craft Fair’! Apart from the fact that setting up a stall is super easy, the fee to open a stall is fantastic (I sell on various other platforms and haven’t found a selling site that comes close to competing in price). There’s no commission, no listing fees, no hidden extras…really great to know I don’t have to spend hours reading the ‘small print’! But apart from all of this I have found Supermums to be a warm, friendly community of likeminded people. As a member of the groups Sarah (aka Supermum) set up on Facebook for stall holders I feel a real sense of comradeship between the sellers (and buyers). It’s just one of the many ways Supermums helps and encourages social media networking. I think it’s really important as a business to have your brand ‘out there’. I have my own website, I sell via eBay and Etsy, promote (and sell) using Pinterest, Google Plus, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and really do value Supermums as not only a selling platform but as another method to promote Simply Lovely…and for the monthly fee it’s really fantastic advertising! Sarah is an absolute pleasure to talk to – she is friendly and nothing is too much trouble…with one lady at the helm of such a fantastic website (not to mention all the other places you can find Supermums) I really don’t know where she finds the time! I would absolutely recommend renting a stall if you’re a seller. Gold Stars from Simply Lovely (sparkly ones!)
Sarah from Bluebirds and Daisies…So what can I tell you about the website? Well for one it’s really easy to use, no need to have a huge load of technical skills because everything is simple and straightforward. It’s also great that you can share on a huge choice of social media right from your listing. This really comes into it’s own when you join in the fun on the 2 Facebook groups and main Facebook page and on Twitter too where there’s a regular sharing hour. I’ve sold through other sites and still do but this one is the friendliest for me, there’s no feeling of cliques, new comers are always made to feel welcome and encouraged to join in as much as they can. Sarah is always around if you need help and has increased the number of listings from 20 to 40 in the time I’ve been using the site with no price increase. Also being able to change your listings as often as you like is great. There’s no commission to pay either so once you’ve paid for your stall your only extra expense is the tax man, no need to factor in commissions and listings fees when pricing your items which is far easier! If you’re not sure whether the site’s for you you can also just sign up for a month too to test the waters. Why not give it a go!
Karen from Casalana.thewoolhouse and Winter Wonderland…If you’re thinking of becoming a seller then I highly recommend that you take the plunge. The stalls are amazing value for money at just £5 per month. For this you get: 1. Your own stall where you can upload 40 items 2. Support from Sarah Cowen (the owner) who is always on hand to help 3. Access to the Networking Page and the Chatty Room where you can share your makes. The Supermums Facebook page has over 30,000 likes and buyers are always posting on there when they are looking for a unique or special gift. In addition to all of the above, oh yes there’s more, Sarah regularly sends pictures of the items on the stalls to both Twitter and Pinterest. That’s 2 extra lots of exposure for your fabulous makes and very useful for those of you who have not get got the grasp of these 2 networking tools. Purhasing a stall and filling it with your items is very easy. I am not a technology whizz by any stretch of the imagination and I found it very user friendly. If I can do it anyone can. Lastly a little word about the Chatty Room. In my opinion you won’t find a happier, friendlier, more supportive group of ladies in any other network group (and I should know because I have joined and left a few that were not!) You can pop in at any time and always get a warm welcome there and a supportive comment on your latest creation. In my opinion Supermums is the BEST!
Kerry from Willow Crafts…I have been a stall holder at Supermums craft fair since May 2013 and can honestly say it is the easiest website I have ever used. It is well laid out and the instructions on how to set up the stall and list items is very clear. I also love how flexible it is, if I want to retire items and add other items I can whenever I want at no extra charge. Where else can you list 40 items from just £5.00 per month with no hidden extras? Another great feature is the message tab, potential customers can contact you to discuss bespoke orders which has helped me gain sales. Supermum herself Sarah is always at the end of an email if I have any questions, and goes above and beyond to help in anyway she can. As well as a stall holder I have also bought through the website and it has been a easy and pleasant experience. I would highly recommend the website to anyone selling their own products, I have already signed up till November 2015. Kerry xx
Georgina from GF Beads…The Supermums Craft fair is a fabulous website with crafters offering a wide variety of products at great prices. As a seller on The Supermums Craft Fair I am able to market my items in a professional website environment without the cost and time required to make a website from scratch. It offers exposure to customers that might not pass through my Facebook page or other networking sites. Its very quick and simple to set up product listings with a description and a photograph and I can easily edit my listings with my ipad or on my laptop. Sellers can set up special offers and discount codes and with 40 listings its great value for money! By paying a monthly fee its much simpler than working on a commission basis. This is by far the best selling website that I have used (and I have had tried out quite a few now!). The Supermums Facebook main page, “chatty room” and networking page are also fabulous additional marketing tools at no additional cost! And don’t forget #superstallhour on Twitter! As a customer the website is clear and easy to use with and it takes minutes to set up new items a good search function meaning you can always find items that you’re interested in.
Kerri from Orchard Stitches and Apple Blossom Fabrics…The Supermums Craft Fair website is such a great place to sell your handmade products. If you are a seller then setting up your stall & managing your listings is so straightforward. And if you have any questions or seeking some advice there is always the thriving the fantastic FB group Supermums Chatty Room that will help with whatever you need. Not only do you get a stall you also have other social media channels through Supermums Craft Fair such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ & Pinterest, all the more to increase your reach to potential customers! I’ve been selling on the website for over a year now & in fact opened my second stall early this year. I’ve not only made sales through the site I’ve also made good friends & been able to gain a great rapport with my customers. This is all down to the fact that the Supermum behind this all is a fellow crafter & understands what we are all looking for in an online craft selling market place. On the other side as a buyer (& believe me I’ve bought some gorgeous things from other crafters – just don’t tell my hubby!) it’s a fantastic experience as you have the opportunity to contact the stallholder you are buying from and can ask whatever you like about the item you are interested in ordering. And you are not buying from a faceless company, the stall description can provide you with a real insight to what the crafter likes to make & their inspiration. I would thoroughly recommend the Supermums Craft Fair website to all my friends looking to buy handmade & for anyone that wishes to set up or expand their own craft business x
Karen from Masters and Matthews…Supermums Craft Fair website is an excellent website to use & a great advertising platform for me. I joined the website within the first few days it was launched and have had plenty of sales from it. It has also gained me likes & interest onto my facebook page & more sales for bespoke items that were not advertised on the website. I believe the website is great value for money, with no hidden costs, very easy to navigate & use. Support & help is always on hand if there are any problems too. Combined with the facebook page & groups it is a great way to advertise & raise awareness of my business, handmade fabric items & a very friendly fun way to advertise too. I also use the site as a buyer & have found some wonderful gift items, craft supplies & more.
Gina from Handmade Memories By Gina Davis… When I first started my stall I loved how easy, simple and streamlined it was to add items. The design is light airy and beautiful so easy on the eyes. I have renewed my stall regularly as to me it is a brilliant platform to sell my wares and get seen. Sarah aka supermum is so approachable, friendly and passionate about the website and it really shows in the design. The supermums chatty room group is fabulous and full of like minded crafters working together to promote, sell and offer help. I couldn’t think of a better place to shop and sell xxx
Emily from Ems Jewellery…I have a stall on SuperMums Craft fair since it first opened and I can definitely say its brilliant!! Of all of the places I sell, its the easiest to load items onto and I love that they are immediately visible with no waiting for approval. If you do have any issues (which you shouldn’t!) there is great customer service so if you don’t already have a stall and are thinking about it, I would highly recommend that you get one!
Katrina from Lex’s Legacy Dog Rescue…I have found the website easy to use and an excellent platform to sell from, the additional support linked to this website is invaluable and really makes you feel part of something special. The difference from selling and buying from the website has to be the personal touch involved in everything.”
Tricia from Eller Creations…First of all I would like to say how much I enjoy having a stall on this website. If you are thinking of using this website to purchase a stall I think it is a no brainer!, It is so easy to use, no technical knowledge needed which is a bonus for me any way….. No hidden fees in the costs and there are options to choose how long you would like to rent a stall for,1,3,6 or 12 months which is brilliant, as then you are not tied into a contract, plus listing options as you can have a basic listing or featured sellers listing. I have made some lovely friends using the supermums chatty room, & Network with Supermum pages plus advertising my makes on the main supermums craft fair page, They are such a friendly helpful bunch of people and the best groups and pages I have had dealings with since opening my business page. I think that It is great that we can all connect via other social media platforms, like, google + and twitter and I enjoy seeing all the lovely makes from each and everyone of the guys and gals during superstallhour on twitter on a Thursday. So really WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, go and grab a stall and become part of the Supermums family, look forward to meeting you
xxxx
