Hills Handicrafts is a small family business compromising of a mother and daughter team, between us we have many years crafting experience and a wide variety of skills.

On the stall and our facebook page you will find a selection of knitting, sewing, crochet, cards and jewellery with items to fit all budgets and tastes. Many of our items are one of a kind. We enjoy a challenge and will happily make items to order if you can’t see exactly what you want.

I started making greeting cards because I was frustrated with going to the “funny cards” section of stores and not finding any of them that funny. EVEN THE ONES LABELED “FUNNY.” That’s just plain wrong. I couldn’t help but jump into action to try to improve the dire state of greeting card humour.

I also satisfy my need for pretty stuff by creating unique collage art.

I set up 2 years ago after taking early retirement from my job as an administrator (40 + years). I am very lucky to be able to turn my hobby into a small business. I love using hammers to give a lovely textured effect to my work. My pieces are hallmarked by the Edinburgh Assay Office.
