Those of you who know me, will already know that I’m not a fan of the cold hard faceless sell but am a huge fan of the personal touch! And that’s partly why The Supermums Craft Fair works so well because when you buy something from a stall, you’re not buying from a large corporation, you’re buying from a small business who cares! Behind every stall is a person and I have always encouraged them to come out and say hello in their descriptions and now I have taken it that one step further with this fabulous feature so you can get to know them even better!
Each week a stall holder from the super duper website will be chosen to become…yes you guessed it… Stall Holder Of The Week! This award is given to someone who has been seen out and about networking their stall and generally being an absolute star! And this week the award goes to…. drum roll please…
Adam from The Perfect Little Gift! Congratulations on being the latest stall holder of the week Adam! So let’s start off with the most important thing of all… Let’s talk about you! WOW!! Firstly thanks for choosing me as the stall holder of the week, id love to take all the credit for this but I cant, but im sure you will find our more about my partner in crime as the interview goes on. Firstly my names Adam but most of you should know this by now, im 25, have 4 children and live in oxfordshire with my fiance lacey (partner in crime lol), I have a slight obsession with trains that’s slowly rubbing off onto my 2 youngest boys, which I love but im not sure lacey is so keen on, especially when she constantly standing on pieces of wooden train track!
This is the first time I’ve ever had to interview a man on the Stall Holder Of The Week page as its true to say that the majority of crafters on my website are women.. You’ve fitted right in to the chatty room but I have to ask… how do you find working with all of us ladies…! lol, having a ermm how shall I put this, a OCD high maintence fiancé, you guys are a breeze to deal with! Also its great to get other ladies ideas and points of view on things apart from my partners who I swears just agrees some days to shut me up lol! Eeek she’s going to kill me for saying that.
Haha! I best say nothing to that, wouldn’t want you to get in even more trouble! So tell us, how did The Perfect Little Gift come about? For those of you who don’t know the story, my partner started her business a few years ago called ‘Lacey Stitches’ and earlier this year I started a business along side hers called ‘ Word art for all occasions’ ermmm unfortunately the businesses wasn’t doing to great and we needed a new plan of action. We took the summer off to come up with new ideas and that’s where the idea of ‘The perfect little gift’ came about, we re-launched our business page with new ideas and so far things seem to be working out for us , fingers crossed this continues.
How do you find working together and living together? Well its ermm kind of stressful at times, juggling work with home can be difficult especially when it involves the children, it can be also difficult to switch off in the evening and know when family time comes before work. ermm I think the best thing about lacey and myself is we are like yin and yang, we work well together and we both have the same visions for the future of the perfect little gift.
Sound like you have a very good partnership there. So with that in mind, who does what in the company? Ermmm lacey would say that she was the boss, and as long as she thinks that and is happy thinking that then we get on just fine lol even though deep down she knows different ( well I hope she does). ummmm I find myself doing most of the computer admin work, running the website, ermm facebook pages and promoting us online… and im sure the list goes on lol, where lacey is more hands on dealing with the customers and making her art and craft bits in her own little world of butterflies,sparkles, glitter and fairy’s! The phrase ‘I craft so hard, I sweat glitter’ comes to mind!
Ha! I think many of us can relate to that! So Adam, if you weren’t running your own business, what would you be doing and why… As I previously said I’m a train freak!! So there is only one other job that I would find myself doing and it would be driving trains or working in the train yards. The only issue I would have is no trains would run on time for the simple fact is one of my pet hates is when we are at train stations, the train carriages are not in number order!…..Eeeek, Writing this has made me think that lacey’s OCD is rubbing of onto me…. As for lacey she would love to work with young children, so I think she would still find a way to play with all her craft and arts stuff.
What is your favourite item on your stall right now and why? Ummmmm Can I choose all of them?? No??? ok then, well just for the simple reason of I love Christmas, and I mean REALLY love Christmas, I’m going to choose our Christmas wreath, its one of lacey’s favorite makes and a lot of time and love goes into making each one of them.
Burning question and its one that every stall holder of the week must be asked… chocolate or wine… obviously if you want to swap the wine with beer, that’s fine with me! Well this is where the yin and yang comes into it……. Im a true chocoholic to the extreme of if there is no chocolate in the house I will sulk until lacey goes to the shop and buys me some lol. Lacey on the other hand would choose the wine, but only the cheap stuff and then it has to have a splash of lemonade with it (she’s such a cheap date
)
I’m in a good mood this week so you can have the chocolate and Lacey can have the wine (even better if it’s the cheap stuff!) If you could only pick one stall to be your favourite on the website, which one would it be and why… I would choose Masters & Matthews, not only do they sell some lovely items not to similar to the crafts that lacey loves to make, but I have found the stall holder Karen to be very helpful and she has come to my rescue several times since opening our stall : - )
And finally, what would you like the future to have in store for The Perfect Little Gift… Hmmm I would love to say that the perfect little gift would take over the world and run the country, but that sounds like a lot of hard work but in the words of Del Boy Trotter ‘This time next year Rodney, we will be millionaires’ lol In all serious though, in the future I would ermmm love to see the perfect little gift expand and keep growing and be as successful as it can be.

As I’m sure you will agree, Adam was a fabulous choice for the stall holder of the week award! Of course, there are so many other stalls who have been stars over the last week and they deserve a special mention too. Sadly I can’t pick all of them so each week I will pick just 4 and this week, in no particular order, special mentions are going out to….
Before you go…these are a few of my favourite things…. There are so many amazing and gorgeous products on the website, so many talented stall holders! Each week I will picking just a few of my favourites items to share with you and these are just some of them…. Why not take a little time and browse the site to find your own…
If you would like to meet some more stall holders then why not join the group Supermums Chatty Room on Facebook! Its a place for all stall holders to show off their stalls and get to know each other but everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun. After all, what could be better than chatting and shopping with friends!
And please do come back next week to see who has been chosen as the next… Stall Holder Of The Week…. xxx
